2024 - 2025
In 2024, DHS co-organised the Pre-University Seminar with MOE, with a total of 549 participants from 30 Pre-University Institutions.
Students were engaged actively in a Pre-Seminar workshop in March and a 4-day residential seminar from 27 to 30 May 2024 at the National University of Singapore. They were brought together to understand Singapore’s prevailing context and forces that shape the nation’s future, and to imagine possibilities in building a better Singapore.
Their learning and experiences were enriched with keynote addresses by our Ministers, learning journeys to key organisations, panel discussions by industry leaders and group discussions with expert interviewees.
The Opening Ceremony was graced by Minister for National Development, Mr Desmond Lee and the closing address was given by Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing.
In 2025, DHS celebrated a vibrant year of international learning and collaboration. MOE resumed the Singapore-Thailand Enhanced Partnership (STEP) Youth Camp which was held in our school. It brought together 200 students from Thailand and Singapore schools for a programme filled with cultural exchange, meaningful dialogue, and adventure activities.
This year marked another milestone with the inaugural 5-day overseas learning journeys to Hanoi and Bandung, where our Senior High Year 5 students explored economic and environmental issues, interacted with local students, and deepened their understanding of regional history and culture.
The Singapore–Suzhou Principals’ Round Table Forum held in our school also fostered collaboration and knowledge-sharing among educational leaders. Together, these events reflect our school’s strong commitment to global engagement and holistic education.
